Tobie relates...

Dear Prayer Partners,

October 17, 2007

Thank you for your prayers as the Lord leads you!!!! I have been having some wonderful opportunities to share God's Word deeper in the lives of two young people in particular over the past month. "Alv" is the teen gal who is my horsemanship student. As she learns more about natural horsemanship I have opportunity to relate it to our spiritual lives. Very recently she had a deeply frightening experience. She had a dream where a overpowering dark figure kept terrorizing her and no matter where she turned for help no one was there then when she tried to ask God for help the dark figure told her He wouldn't help her either. Her dream was interrupted by the alarm clock. She called me when I was out feeding my horses so she left a message wanting to visit that evening if I was available. She called that evening before coming over and was in uncontrollable sobbing while trying to tell me the dream. While here at my home she expressed great surprise and fear about why this happened to her. By the time she was ready to go home she had a new appreciation for why we need to be in God's Word and spend time with Him. I am very thankful for how God has brought me through a similar experience, not only for myself but for the sake of someone else!!!

"Ju" is the other young person I have had some opportunity to speak into his life. He has been coming over almost weekly to help with work on the land I use. He has felt like his life isn't really going anywhere and hasn't been focusing on the Lord all that much. I challenged him to consider Indian Bible College in Flagstaff. He needs prayer.

Sarah definitely has her ups and downs. In Bible study last week the sovereignty of God came up, you know that age old issue that most all of us have struggled with at some point and may be tempted to again when tragedy hits. "Since God is all powerful, why doesn't He just make it so we all do what is right? Why didn't He keep my daughter safe like I prayed He would since He has the power?" Whenever anyone starts mentioning those things I go into S.O.S praying!!!! Last week the Lord gave me a strong message in love from my own life experience since Sarah seemed to believe that I never struggle with anything and have this really close walk with God all the time so that being single never bothers me. It's true that I have become way more content being single but that is because of what God has been bringing me through for years. I get rather animated when God is moving me to share about my past experiences so there were times she laughed and there were times her eyes were wide open, but by the end her attitude seemed calmer. Thank you for your prayers for her and for me!!!!!!!

Many of you have been asking when I'll be heading off for the six week Parelli course. Since Florida is simply too far for me to haul my horse there and back I have to pick one of their three sessions in Pagosa Springs, CO. I needed to coordinate with my friend's work schedule and pick the date that was best for her since she is the only one I can count on to feed the remaining horses and kind of take care of the place here. So, August 24th is the start date for the six week course I'll be taking.
I had wanted to go a lot sooner but the Lord knows when the timing is best. : )

I had to make a church change out here back in April due to some serious doctrinal issues. The one I'm now in just recently started up a youth ministry with their new youth pastor. I believed the Lord would have me be a part of the team instead of continuing to have my own group on Monday evenings. So, we are in the process of changing over to the new group at church which meets on Sunday evenings. Some from my old group are not very thrilled about the change. I'm praying their hearts will change as the new youth pastor begins to teach the Word more.

Prayer Requests:
1. "Alv" and "Ju" to hunger for God's Word more and more;
2. Sarah to be in God's Word on her own and for her continued healing of her heart;
3. For me to continue to grow in my walk with the Lord and to have clear guidance for use of time and energy each day.

Thank you for your prayers once again and for your financial support as the Lord leads you!!!!!!

In His Care,

Tobie Keiser
