Gallup Evangelical Training School
G.E.T.S.

Formerly called, Native American Bible College

GETS Staff;

I hope you all have seen the Kinde's update on progress for the coming term. Looks exciting!

In case you haven't recieved my last e-mail (having computer glitches again) here are some questions for everyone to consider:

1) What are some potential names if we change from GETS as our school name? Consider target students, geography, and ETA affiliation. I'll be compiling a list of suggetstions.

2) When is the best time for you to meet with teaching staff? Time, day, and other considerations. I will compile this list too and let you know the consensus as to when, and then let you know where.

3) Review by me all classes, locations, and times/ days you are open to or already planning to teach this Fall. Let me know your curriculum needs asap (Kindes, yours are in my office). Let me know all above asap for advertising purposes (flyers, website for Lance, etc)

Monty is currently doing deputation, so I will be trying to do the above work for him until he has enough support raised to get into the saddle.

Roger will have the school credit card until Monty is set to take over GETS directorship. All GETS and orders school expenses must go through him, there are no reinbursements at this time.

Additions to GETS information should be run by Roger until Monty takes the GETS reins, and submitted to Lance to be installed on the website.

Thanks! Roger Scarbro

G.E.T.S. is an evangelical, non-denominational four year discipleship and training program helping Native American Christians and their neighbors who are, or plan to be Church leaders in Gallup and the surrounding reservation areas.

G.E.T.S. is a ministry overseen by the Board of Directors of AIMI (Board member names are given upon request) with a corporate office in Globe, AZ. AIMI is a member in good standing with the Association of North American Missions (ANAM) and submits to a five-year review by peer mission organizations who are also a part of ANAM.

G.E.T.S. and AIMI both submit to an independant, external audit on an annual basis.

G.E.T.S. has an advisory committee made up of local Native American church leaders who help advise the direction and focus of the school (advisor names are given upon request).

G.E.T.S. operates in cooperation with the ministry of the Evangelical Training Association (ETA) headquarters in Wheaton, IL and uses their curriculum and guidelines regarding certification for most of G.E.T.S. program of studies, graduation requirements, and certificate grants from ETA.

Other local mission ministries and churches (names of ministry organizations given upon request) have agreed to partner with AIMI in supplying teachers and resources for G.E.T.S..
